Editorial Component Platform (v2)

Role

At X-Team, I contributed to an editorial component platform (v2) as a frontend/platform engineer focused on multi-tenant rendering, publishing reliability, and CMS integration.

  • Contributed to the architecture connecting design tokens, component build/publish pipelines, CDN distribution, backend APIs, dashboard operations, and WordPress Gutenberg integration.
  • Implemented token baking into component CSS so tenant branding is automatically applied at publish time.
  • Enforced scoped styling strategies to prevent style collisions across embedded components.
  • Supported dual runtime modes for component JavaScript (iframe preview and WordPress inset rendering).
  • Contributed to AI-assisted workflows for generating new component templates.

Tech

  • Design tokens as the source of truth, merged per tenant and injected during publishing.
  • CDN-based distribution of versioned frontend assets for embeds and previews.
  • Backend lifecycle APIs for template creation, versioning, and publishing flows.
  • WordPress Gutenberg block integration for editor preview and frontend rendering.

Impact

  • Standardized the pipeline connecting design, engineering, and editorial teams.
  • Enabled tenant-specific theming across multiple publication brands without duplicating implementation.
  • Improved reliability of multi-instance component rendering in production article pages.
  • Established maintainable versioning and publishing workflows for editorial teams.
